| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[40:12] | Thalikum bi-annahu ithaduAAiya Allahu wahdahu kafartum wa-in yushrak bihitu/minoo faalhukmu lillahi alAAaliyyialkabeeri
|  ذلكم بأنه إذا دعي الله وحده كفرتم وإن يشرك به تؤمنوا فالحكم لله العلي الكبير
ذَلِكُم بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا دُعِيَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِ تُؤْمِنُوا فَالْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْكَبِيرِ |
| Words | |ذلكم - "That| بأنه - (is) because,| إذا - when| دعي - Allah was invoked| الله - Allah was invoked| وحده - Alone| كفرتم - you disbelieved;| وإن - but if| يشرك - (others) were associated| به - with Him,| تؤمنوا - you believed.| فالحكم - So the judgment| لله - (is) with Allah,| العلي - the Most High,| الكبير - the Most Great."| |
