| 1 [7:95] | Thumma baddalna makana alssayyi-atialhasanata hatta AAafaw waqaloo qadmassa abaana alddarraowaalssarrao faakhathnahum baghtatanwahum la yashAAuroona |  ثم بدلنا مكان السيئة الحسنة حتى عفوا وقالوا قد مس آباءنا الضراء والسراء فأخذناهم بغتة وهم لا يشعرونثُمَّ بَدَّلْنَا مَكَانَ السَّيِّئَةِ الْحَسَنَةَ حَتَّى عَفَواْ وَّقَالُواْ قَدْ مَسَّ آبَاءَنَا الضَّرَّاءُ وَالسَّرَّاءُ فَأَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لاَ يَشْعُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| بدلنا - We changed| مكان - (in) place| السيئة - (of) the bad| الحسنة - the good,| حتى - until| عفوا - they increased| وقالوا - and said,| قد - "Verily,| مس - (had) touched| آباءنا - our forefathers| الضراء - the adversity| والسراء - and the ease."| فأخذناهم - So We seized them| بغتة - suddenly,| وهم - while they| لا - (did) not| يشعرون - perceive.| | ||||||
| 2 [16:101] | Wa-itha baddalna ayatanmakana ayatin waAllahu aAAlamu bimayunazzilu qaloo innama anta muftarin bal aktharuhumla yaAAlamoona | وإذا بدلنا آية مكان آية والله أعلم بما ينزل قالوا إنما أنت مفتر بل أكثرهم لا يعلمون وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَا آيَةً مَّكَانَ آيَةٍ وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُواْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| بدلنا - We substitute| آية - a Verse| مكان - (in) place| آية - (of) a Verse,| والله - and Allah -| أعلم - (is) most knowing| بما - of what| ينزل - He sends down| قالوا - they say,| إنما - "Only| أنت - you| مفتر - (are) an inventor."| بل - Nay,| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 3 [76:28] | Nahnu khalaqnahum washadadnaasrahum wa-itha shi/na baddalna amthalahumtabdeelan | نحن خلقناهم وشددنا أسرهم وإذا شئنا بدلنا أمثالهم تبديلا نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا | |||||
| Words | |نحن - We,| خلقناهم - created them| وشددنا - and We strengthened| أسرهم - their forms,| وإذا - and when| شئنا - We will,| بدلنا - We can change| أمثالهم - their likeness[es]| تبديلا - (with) a change.| | ||||||
