| 1 [17:23] | Waqada rabbuka alla taAAbudooilla iyyahu wabialwalidayni ihsananimma yablughanna AAindaka alkibara ahaduhumaaw kilahuma fala taqul lahuma offinwala tanharhuma waqul lahuma qawlan kareeman |  وقضى ربك ألا تعبدوا إلا إياه وبالوالدين إحسانا إما يبلغن عندك الكبر أحدهما أو كلاهما فلا تقل لهما أف ولا تنهرهما وقل لهما قولا كريماوَقَضَى رَبُّكَ أَلاَّ تَعْبُدُواْ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِندَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلاَهُمَا فَلاَ تَقُل لَّهُمَآ أُفٍّ وَلاَ تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُل لَّهُمَا قَوْلاً كَرِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وقضى - And has decreed| ربك - your Lord,| ألا - that (do) not| تعبدوا - worship| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone| وبالوالدين - and to the parents| إحسانا - (be) good.| إما - Whether| يبلغن - reach| عندك - with you| الكبر - the old age| أحدهما - one of them,| أو - or| كلاهما - both of them,| فلا - then (do) not| تقل - say| لهما - to both of them| أف - a word of disrespect| ولا - and (do) not| تنهرهما - repel them,| وقل - but speak| لهما - to them| قولا - a word| كريما - noble.| | ||||||
| 2 [21:67] | Offin lakum walima taAAbudoona mindooni Allahi afala taAAqiloona | أف لكم ولما تعبدون من دون الله أفلا تعقلون أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |أف - Uff| لكم - to you| ولما - and to what| تعبدون - you worship| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah.| أفلا - Then will not| تعقلون - you use reason?"| | ||||||
| 3 [46:17] | Waallathee qala liwalidayhioffin lakuma ataAAidaninee an okhraja waqad khalatialquroonu min qablee wahuma yastagheethani Allahawaylaka amin inna waAAda Allahi haqqunfayaqoolu ma hatha illa asateerual-awwaleena | والذي قال لوالديه أف لكما أتعدانني أن أخرج وقد خلت القرون من قبلي وهما يستغيثان الله ويلك آمن إن وعد الله حق فيقول ما هذا إلا أساطير الأولين وَالَّذِي قَالَ لِوَالِدَيْهِ أُفٍّ لَّكُمَا أَتَعِدَانِنِي أَنْ أُخْرَجَ وَقَدْ خَلَتِ الْقُرُونُ مِن قَبْلِي وَهُمَا يَسْتَغِيثَانِ اللَّهَ وَيْلَكَ آمِنْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ فَيَقُولُ مَا هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |والذي - But the one who| قال - says| لوالديه - to his parents,| أف - "Uff| لكما - to both of you!| أتعدانني - Do you promise me| أن - that| أخرج - I will be brought forth,| وقد - and have already passed away| خلت - and have already passed away| القرون - the generations| من - before me?"| قبلي - before me?"| وهما - And they both| يستغيثان - seek help| الله - (of) Allah.| ويلك - "Woe to you!| آمن - Believe!| إن - Indeed,| وعد - (the) Promise| الله - (of) Allah| حق - (is) true."| فيقول - But he says,| ما - "Not| هذا - (is) this| إلا - but| أساطير - (the) stories| الأولين - (of) the former (people)."| | ||||||
