| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[72:12] | Wanna thanannaan lan nuAAjiza Allaha fee al-ardi walan nuAAjizahuharaban
|  وأنا ظننا أن لن نعجز الله في الأرض ولن نعجزه هربا
وَأَنَّا ظَنَنَّا أَن لَّن نُّعجِزَ اللَّهَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَن نُّعْجِزَهُ هَرَبًا |
| Words | |وأنا - And that we| ظننا - [we] have become certain| أن - that| لن - never| نعجز - we will cause failure| الله - (to) Allah| في - in| الأرض - the earth| ولن - and never| نعجزه - we can escape Him| هربا - (by) flight.| |

| ‹እኛም አላህን በምድር ውስጥ ፈጽሞ የማናቅተው፤ ሸሽተንም ፈጽሞ የማናመልጠው መኾናችንን አረጋገጥን፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وأنا ظننا أن } مخففة من الثقيلة أي أنه { لن نعجز الله في الأرض ولن نعجزه هربا } لا نفوته كائنين في الأرض أو هاربين منها في السماء. |
| Nmeyyez nufa, war ccekk, ur nesfunnug Öebbi di tmurt, ur T nesfunnug ma nerwel. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমরা বুঝতে পেরেছি যে, আমরা পৃথিবীতে আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে পরাস্ত করতে পারব না এবং পলায়ন করেও তাকে অপারক করত পরব না। |
| Literal | 'And that we, we thought/assumed that (E) we will never/not disable/frustrate God in the earth/Planet Earth, and we will never/not disable/frustrate Him (by) escaping/fleeing .' |
| Yusuf Ali | 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. |
