| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[41:23] | Wathalikum thannukumuallathee thanantum birabbikum ardakumfaasbahtum mina alkhasireena
|  وذلكم ظنكم الذي ظننتم بربكم أرداكم فأصبحتم من الخاسرين
وَذَلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ الَّذِي ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَاكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنْ الْخَاسِرِينَ |
| Words | |وذلكم - And that| ظنكم - (was) your assumption| الذي - which| ظننتم - you assumed| بربكم - about your Lord.| أرداكم - It has ruined you,| فأصبحتم - and you have become| من - of| الخاسرين - the losers.| |

| ይህም ያ በጌታችሁ የጠረጠራችሁት ጥርጣሪያችሁ አጠፋችሁ፡፡ ከከሳሪዎቹም ኾናችሁ (ይባላሉ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وذلكم } مبتدأ { ظنكم } بدل منه { الذي ظننتم بربكم } نعت والخبر { أرداكم } أي أهلككم { فأصبحتم من الخاسرين } . |
| Akka ameyyez nnwen $ef Mass nnwen. Isqucc ikwen, tegwram d d imexsuôen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমাদের পালনকর্তা সম্বন্ধে তোমাদের এ ধারণাই তোমাদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছে। ফলে তোমরা ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে গেছ। |
| Literal | And that (is) your thought/assumption which you thought/assumed with your Lord, He made you fall/ruin so you became from the losers . |
| Yusuf Ali | "But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!" |
| Pickthal | That, your thought which ye did think about your Lord, hath ruined you; and ye find yourselves (this day) among the lost. |
| Arberry | That then, the thought you thought about your Lord, has destroyed you, and therefore you find yourselves this morning among the losers.' |
| Shakir | And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones. |
