بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [38:4] | WaAAajiboo an jaahum munthirunminhum waqala alkafiroona hatha sahirunkaththabun
| وعجبوا أن جاءهم منذر منهم وقال الكافرون هذا ساحر كذاب وَعَجِبُوا أَن جَاءَهُم مُّنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ |
Words | |وعجبوا - And they wonder| أن - that| جاءهم - has come to them| منذر - a warner| منهم - from themselves.| وقال - And said| الكافرون - the disbelievers,| هذا - "This| ساحر - (is) a magician,| كذاب - a liar.| |

| ከእነርሱ የሆነ አስፈራሪም ስለ መጣላቸው ተደነቁ፡፡ ከሓዲዎቹም «ይህ ድግምተኛ (ጠንቋይ) ውሸታም ነው» አሉ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وعجبوا أن جاءهم منذر منهم } رسول من أنفسهم ينذرهم ويخوفهم النار بعد البعث وهو النبي * صلى الله عليه وسلم { وقال الكافرون } فيه وضع الظاهر موضع المضمر { هذا ساحر كذاب } . |
| Wehmen, iusa ten id uneddaô segsen. Nnan ijehliyen: "wagi d aseêêar, d akeddab. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বিস্ময়বোধ করে যে, তাদেরই কাছে তাদের মধ্যে থেকে একজন সতর্ককারী আগমন করেছেন। আর কাফেররা বলে এ-তো এক মিথ্যাচারী যাদুকর। |
Literal | And they were wondering/astonished/surprised that (a) warner/giver of notice came to them from them, and the disbelievers said: "That (is a) liar/denier/falsifier, (a) magician/sorcerer." |
Yusuf Ali | So they wonder that a Warner has come to them from among themselves! and the Unbelievers say, "This is a sorcerer telling lies! |
Pickthal | And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. |
Arberry | Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. |
Shakir | And they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say: This IS an enchanter, a liar. |
Sarwar | It seems strange to the pagans that a man from their own people should come to them as a Prophet. The unbelievers have said, "He is only a lying magician". |
