| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[37:29] | Qaloo bal lam takoonoo mu/mineena
|  قالوا بل لم تكونوا مؤمنين
قَالُوا بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They will say,| بل - "Nay,| لم - not| تكونوا - you were| مؤمنين - believers,| |

| (አስከታዮቹም) ይላሉ «አይደለም ፈጽሞ ምእምናን አልነበራችሁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قالوا } أي المتبعون لهم { بل لم تكونوا مؤمنين } وإنما يصدق الإضلال منا أن لو كنتم مؤمنين فرجعتم عن الإيمان إلينا . |
| A d inin: "xaîi, ur tellim d lmumnin. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলবে, বরং তোমরা তো বিশ্বাসীই ছিলে না। |
| Literal | They said: "But you were not being believing." |
| Yusuf Ali | They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! |
| Pickthal | They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. |
| Arberry | Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; |
| Shakir | They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; |
| Sarwar | Others will respond, "It was you who did not want to have any faith. |
