بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [36:45] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittaqoo mabayna aydeekum wama khalfakum laAAallakum turhamoona
| وإذا قيل لهم اتقوا ما بين أيديكم وما خلفكم لعلكم ترحمون وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ |
Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتقوا - "Fear| ما - what| بين - (is) before you| أيديكم - (is) before you| وما - and what| خلفكم - (is) behind you| لعلكم - so that you may| ترحمون - receive mercy."| |

| ለእነርሱም «በስተፊታችሁና በኋለችሁ ያለውን ነገር ተጠንቀቁ ይታዘንላችኋልና» በተባሉ ጊዜ (ፊታቸውን ያዞራሉ)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وإذا قيل لهم اتقوا ما بين أيديكم } من عذاب الدنيا كغيرهم { وما خلفكم } من عذاب الآخرة { لعلكم ترحمون } أعرضوا. |
| Mara ad asen inin: êezzbet i wayen illan zdat wen, akked wayen illan deffir wen, amar aêunu fellawen! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, তোমরা সামনের আযাব ও পেছনের আযাবকে ভয় কর, যাতে তোমাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করা হয়, তখন তারা তা অগ্রাহ্য করে। |
Literal | And if (it) was said to them: "Fear and obey what (is) between your hands and what (is) behind you, maybe/perhaps you attain mercy." |
Yusuf Ali | When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back). |
Pickthal | When it is said unto them: Beware of that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy (they are heedless). |
