[13:18] | Lillatheena istajaboolirabbihimu alhusna waallatheena lamyastajeeboo lahu law anna lahum ma fee al-ardijameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu laiftadaw bihi ola-ikalahum soo-o alhisabi wama/wahum jahannamuwabi/sa almihadu
|  للذين استجابوا لربهم الحسنى والذين لم يستجيبوا له لو أن لهم ما في الأرض جميعا ومثله معه لافتدوا به أولئك لهم سوء الحساب ومأواهم جهنم وبئس المهاد
لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَجَابُواْ لِرَبِّهِمُ الْحُسْنَى وَالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُواْ لَهُ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لاَفْتَدَوْاْ بِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ |
| Words | |للذين - For those who| استجابوا - responded| لربهم - to their Lord| الحسنى - (is) the bliss.| والذين - And for those who| لم - (did) not| يستجيبوا - respond| له - to Him,| لو - if| أن - that| لهم - they had| ما - whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth| جميعا - all| ومثله - and like of it| معه - with it,| لافتدوا - surely they would offer ransom| به - with it.| أولئك - Those| لهم - for them| سوء - (is) a terrible| الحساب - reckoning,| ومأواهم - and their abode| جهنم - (is) Hell,| وبئس - and wretched| المهاد - (is) the resting place.| |

| ለእነዚያ ለጌታቸው ለታዘዙት መልካም ነገር (ገነት) አልላቸው፡፡ እነዚያም ለእርሱ ያልታዘዙት ለእነሱ በምድር ያለው ሁሉ ከእርሱም ጋር ብጤው ቢኖራቸው ኖሮ በእርሱ በተበዡበት ነበር፡፡ እነዚያ ለእነሱ ክፉ ምርመራ አለባቸው፡፡ መኖሪያቸውም ገሀነም ናት፡፡ ፍራሻቸውም ከፋች! |
| آل الجلالين | { للذين استجابوا لربهم } أجابوه بالطاعة { الحسنى } الجنة { والذين لم يستجيبوا له } وهم الكافر { لو أن لهم ما في الأرض جميعا ومثله معه لافتدوْا به } من العذاب { أولئك لهم سوء الحساب } وهو المؤاخذة بكل ما علموه لا يغفر منه شيء { ومأواهم جهنم وبئس المهاد } الفراش هي . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যারা পালনকর্তার আদেশ পালন করে, তাদের জন্য উত্তম প্রতিদান রয়েছে এবং যারা আদেশ পালন করে না, যদি তাদের কাছে জগতের সবকিছু থাকে এবং তার সাথে তার সমপরিমাণ আরও থাকে, তবে সবই নিজেদের মুক্তিপণ স্বরূপ দিয়ে দেবে। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর হিসাব। তাদের আবাস হবে জাহান্নাম। সেটা কতইনা নিকৃষ্ট অবস্থান। |
| Literal | The best/goodness , (is) to those who answered/replied to their Lord, and those who did not answer/reply to Him, if that for them what (is) in the earth/Planet Earth all together , and like it, with it, they would have ransomed/compensated with it, those for them (is) the account's/calculations' bad/evil , and their shelter/refuge (is) Hell , and how bad (are) the beds ? |
| Yusuf Ali | For those who respond to their Lord, are (all) good things. But those who respond not to Him,- Even if they had all that is in the heavens and on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom. For them will the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell,- what a bed of misery! |
| Pickthal | For those who answered Allah's call is bliss; and for those who answered not His call, if they had all that is in the earth, and therewith the like thereof, they would proffer it as ransom. Such will have a woeful reckoning, and their habitation will be hell, a dire abode. |

Whatever those who have not answered the call of their Lord offer to redeem themselves, even if they offer double the wealth of the whole earth, will not be accepted. They will face a terrible reckoning and their dwelling will be hell, a terrible place to rest! |
| H/K/Saheeh | For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place. |
| Malik | There is an excellent reward for those who respond to the call of their Lord. As for those who do not respond to Him - even if they had all that is in the earth, and as much besides, to offer as a ransom in order to save themselves from punishment, it would be of no use. They are the ones who will have terrible reckoning; their abode will be hell - what an evil resting place.[18] |

| Hilali/Khan** | For those who answered their Lords Call (believed in the Oneness of Allah and followed His Messenger Muhammad SAW i.e. Islamic Monotheism) is Al-Husna (i.e. Paradise). But those who answered not His Call (disbelieved in the Oneness of Allah and followed not His Messenger Muhammad SAW), if they had all that is in the earth together with its like, they would offer it in order to save themselves (from the torment, it will be in vain). For them there will be the terrible reckoning. Their dwelling place will be Hell; - and worst indeed is that place for rest. |
