| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[12:53] | Wama obarri-o nafsee inna alnnafsalaammaratun bialssoo-i illa ma rahimarabbee inna rabbee ghafoorun raheemun
|  وما أبرئ نفسي إن النفس لأمارة بالسوء إلا ما رحم ربي إن ربي غفور رحيم
وَمَا أُبَرِّىءُ نَفْسِي إِنَّ النَّفْسَ لَأَمَّارَةٌ بِالسُّوءِ إِلاَّ مَا رَحِمَ رَبِّي إِنَّ رَبِّي غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ |
| Words | |وما - "And not| أبرئ - I absolve| نفسي - myself.| إن - Indeed,| النفس - the soul| لأمارة - (is) a certain enjoiner| بالسوء - of evil,| إلا - unless| ما - [that]| رحم - bestows Mercy| ربي - my Lord.| إن - Indeed,| ربي - my Lord| غفور - (is) Oft-Forgiving,| رحيم - Most Merciful."| |

| «ነፍሴንም (ከስሕተት) አላጠራም፡፡ ነፍስ ሁሉ ጌታዬ የጠበቃት ካልሆነች በስተቀር በመጥፎ ነገር በእርግጥ አዛዥ ናትና፡፡ ጌታዬ በጣም መሓሪ አዛኝ ነው» (አለ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما أبري نفسي } من الزلل { إن النفس } الجنس { لأمَّارة } كثيرة الأمر { بالسوء إلا ما } بمعنى من { رحم ربي } فعصمه { إن ربي غفور رحيم } . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আমি নিজেকে নির্দোষ বলি না। নিশ্চয় মানুষের মন মন্দ কর্মপ্রবণ কিন্তু সে নয়-আমার পালনকর্তা যার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেন। নিশ্চয় আমার পালনকর্তা ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু। |
| Literal | And I do not acquit myself, that the self (is) incessantly commanding/urging (E) with the bad/evil/harm, except what my Lord had mercy upon, that my Lord (is) forgiving, merciful. |
